HELP WANTED: Director of Global Sales

TravelAdvocates is a B2B group travel services company that books hotels for thousands of groups each year. TravelAdvocates is seeking a Director of Global Sales to grow our customer base. This job is full time and entirely remote / home-based.

 

This person will have at least 5 years of group sales, management and marketing experience in hotels/resorts, global sales office, or convention bureaus. The candidate will have an existing client base who book groups at hotels. They will be entrepreneurial, results-oriented and highly persuasive. The candidate should be able to book at least $3 million USD in gross group room revenue annually. A broad understanding of group sales to include all segments is a plus; those candidates exhibiting high knowledge of the corporate/incentive, entertainment/film, government, extended stay, or association segments will be given preference. Someone who is organized, quick on the computer, detailed and able to multi-task will have a high probability of success. The selected sales person will have a sunny, optimistic and energetic persona with excellent communication skills.

 

Job Requirements
● Proven seasoned hotel sales professional with experience in a premium sales organization
● Key contacts & loyal client relationships already in place.

● Must have a dedicated office space at home as this is a fully remote position.

● Active member of key industry organizations.
● Passionately driven towards exceeding revenue goals
● Team player but a self-starter requiring little to no oversight
● Excellent standards of personal presentation. Networker and relationship builder.
● Demonstrates enthusiasm, creativity, hunger and passion for potential customers.
● Goal oriented and deadline focused. Able to travel when needed.

The successful candidate will:

● identify potential clients and maintain those successful relationships

● solicit and generate new group hotel leads

● with the help of your dedicated Operations Admin, convert those leads into bookings

● communicate effectively with your Operations Admin who is responsible for sourcing hotels and all administrative paperwork associated with your customer base

● assist as needed in ongoing customer service items

Compensation

Competitive annual base salary commensurate with experience plus unlimited commission earning potential; health, vision, dental benefits; 401k with company match; paid vacation & personal time; full time remote position.
